Do you charge a supplement for single night bookings?

No, we don’t. However, we do not accept single night bookings during the summer months (June to September inclusive) or over Bank Holiday weekends. We will try to accommodate single nights at all other times.

Or for sea views?

No, there is no extra charge for a sea or river-view room.

How far is Lynton House from the railway station?

Nowhere is very far in Teignmouth! The railway station is about 10 minutes walk away (depending how fast you walk) but if you are arriving with luggage by train, we recommend that you take a taxi. A taxi ride will take less than 5 minutes.

Do you have a licensed bar?

Yes, we do. We only have a residents’ licence so if you bring friends in for a drink, I’m afraid you will have to pay for their drinks!

Are you child-friendly?

I hope so! We have four family rooms, three of which will accommodate a family of four and one for a family of five. Lynton House is an ideal place to stay with children as we have the play area immediately across the road and the beach only a minute’s walk away. There are also numerous tourist attractions for children within half an hour’s drive.

Do you allow dogs?

Yes, we allow well-behaved dogs but we do ask that you don’t let them go on the beds or into the dining room.

Would we have access to our room during the day?

Yes, you are able to be in your room at any time. Together with your room key is a key to the front door and you can come and go as you please.
