Deposits

A deposit equivalent to the first night’s stay is required to confirm your booking which can be paid by credit or debit card over the telephone or by cheque. On receipt of your deposit, we will send you a confirmation/receipt.  Please note that your booking is not confirmed until your deposit has been received.

Credit Card Payments

Due to the rising cost of processing, all payments made by credit card will be subject to a 2% surcharge.

Cancellations

We wish to remind you that your booking with Lynton House is a legally binding contract and should you cancel your stay you will be liable to pay cancellation charges, as follows:

• In excess of 28 days prior to your stay, your deposit will be refunded, less a small charge for administration costs.
• With less than 28 days notice, Lynton House will retain your deposit unless the accommodation can be re-let.  If we manage to re-let the accommodation, your deposit will be refunded, less a small charge for administration costs.
• Within 7 days of your stay, in the case of a ‘no-show’ or if you have to leave earlier than expected, you will be liable for the whole cost of your holiday.  You are, therefore, advised to take out holiday insurance to cover such an eventuality.
• If Lynton House cancels your booking due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of your deposit will be given.

Arrival and Departure

Rooms are usually ready by 1.00 pm but if you arrive earlier, you are welcome to leave your luggage with us.  If you have booked an Evening Meal, please note that it is served at 6.00 pm.  If you will not be here before 4.00 pm, please call with your menu choice the previous day.

On the day of departure, please vacate your room by 10.30 am and, again, you may leave your luggage until later in the day.

Smoking Policy

In compliance with new legislation, it is illegal to smoke anywhere within the premises of Lynton House.  Smoking is only allowed on the front patio.

Guests who do smoke in their rooms will be charged a fee of £50 to cover cleaning and deodorising costs.  This will be added to the guest’s bill, for payment prior to departure.  Guests continuing to abuse the law will be asked politely to leave.
